About B. Tech
Engineering tasks such as the design of bridges, electric power plants, industrial equipment, machine design and chemical plants, must be approved by a licensed professional engineer. Most engineering programs involve a concentration of study in an engineering specialty, along with courses in both mathematics and the physical and life sciences. Many programs also include courses in general engineering and applied accounting. A design course, often accompanied by a computer or laboratory class or both, is part of the curriculum of most programs. There are many branches of engineering, each of which specializes in specific technologies and products. Typically, engineers will have deep knowledge in one area and basic knowledge in related areas.

INDIAN INSTITUTES OF TECHNOLOGY( IIT)
The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are the premier autonomous public technical and research universities located across India.They are governed by the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961, which has declared them as Institutes of National Importance and lays down their powers, duties, and framework for governance.The Institutes of Technology Act, 1961 lists twenty-three institutes. Each IIT is autonomous, linked to the others through a common council (IIT Council), which oversees their administration. The Minister of Education is the ex officio Chairperson of the IIT Council. As of 2020, the total number of seats for undergraduate programs in all IITs is 16,053.

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is the common entrance test for admission into VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT Bhopal and VIT Andhra Pradesh. Prior to the addition, the entrance exam comprised of MPCEA (Maths / Physics / Chemistry / English / Aptitude) for B.Tech Courses and BPCEA (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / English / Aptitude) for Bio Stream programmes. The questions in entrance exams are mostly based on the NCERT textbooks and questions for the subjects – Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. The foundation for the entrance exam can be established by a thorough study of NCERT textbooks. The English section in the entrance exam consists of comprehension reading and answering. Lately, the English section for the entrance exam would include grammar correction and pronunciation-based questions. This year, a new aptitude section is included for the entrance exam.
Subject Eligibility:
- Candidates who have opted for MPCEA(Maths / Physics/ Chemistry /English / Aptitude)in VITEEE are eligible for all the B.Tech. Programmes.
- Candidates who have opted for BPCEA(Biology / Physics/ Chemistry / English / Aptitude)in VITEEE are eligible for the following Bio stream programmes only. But after joining, registering Mathematics as bridge course is mandatory.

SRMJEEE 2021- SRMIST has released the application form for SRM Joint Engineering Entrance exam 2021 on December 12. The authorities shall conduct SRMJEEE 2021 from June 11 to 16, 2021. SRMJEEE application form 2021 is available online at srmist.edu.in and the last date to apply is May 31. SRMJEEE 2021 will be conducted in computer-based mode for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses. Selection of eligible candidates will be made based on candidates’ scores in SRMJEEE. Class 12 students are eligible to apply for SRM entrance exam. SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Deemed University) conducts the Joint Engineering Entrance exam, every year. Around 4 lakh students appear for SRMJEEE exam.
